Here's to the Women Who Make My World Bigger, Better, and Braver.
I have friends, mothers, sisters, and colleagues in my life — past and present, near and far — who I am incredibly proud to know and call my people.
On any given day, we're doing what everyone does — navigating school runs and work deadlines, chasing our own ambitions, showing up to BBQs, sharing a bottle of wine, texting each other the mundane and the meaningful. They are, simply, the people I am so grateful to have around me.
But every now and then, I stop. And I actually look. Really look at the women in my life — at who they are and what they've built and what they carry and what they've overcome. And honestly? I'm in awe.
The intelligence in my group of women is staggering.
The grit, the resilience, the innovation, the skill — none of it happened by accident and none of it came for free. Everything they've achieved has a cost, and they've paid it, quietly and without fanfare, while still showing up as friends, wives, mothers, sisters, and colleagues. Each of these women has shaped me — not just personally, but professionally. They've challenged how I think, pushed me to be better, and left a mark on my career and my life that I carry with me every day.
We don't always stop to acknowledge it. Life moves too fast for that. But today feels like the right moment to say — I see you. I see all of it. I do not take for granted, for a single second, how lucky I am to have you in my life.
Here's to the women who make my world bigger, better, and braver.
***And how fitting that my own mother's birthday is today! Happy birthday to the woman who set the standard for all of the above.
